A South African based outsourcing company has announced the appointment of a new business growth and development specialist as it targets new customers and markets.

The Sigma Connected Group, which offers ‘white label’ customer contact centre services across the energy, water, retail, financial services and telecommunications sectors, has appointed Clayton Durand into the new role of Business Development Manager.

With 10 years of experience working within the financial services sector, Clayton joins Sigma Connected, which has contact centres in Western Cape and Johannesburg, from insurance provider MiWay.

He will report to Ben Jones, the Group’s Chief Commercial Officer.

Ben Jones said: “Our business is thriving in South Africa and we are opening new leads and conversations with potential new customers every day. Clayton’s appointment is vital as he will be looking closely at every opportunity, building relationships and networks, and showcasing our track record and capabilities to businesses across the country.

“He is already making a tremendous impact as we look to grow our business development team further.”

Clayton Durand added: “Sigma is an outsourcing business with a huge respect not just here in South Africa, but also in the UK and Australia.

“We have so much to offer the utilities and financial services sectors in terms of contact centre outsourcing so I am delighted to have the opportunity to help grow that side of our business across South Africa.”

Sigma Connected employs 3,000 people and is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year.
