After starting out with Sigma as a team manager, Ghumayd Devajee was appointed Service Delivery Manager: Ops in November 2021, and by holding shared values with the company, he has gone from strength to strength.
Fresh out of high school, and eager to make his mark on the world, Ghumayd soon found success by making use of his opportunities and applying himself.
After joining the BPO industry in 2016, within just two years he had been promoted to team leader, gaining experience in customer service, collections, client services and back-end operations.
Looking to spread his wings – and live his motto: ‘support, coach, recognise, reward’ – he joined Sigma Connected in 2019.
Rapidly climbing the leadership ladder, he has since played a key role in the growth and success of Sigma’s outbound space.
Putting people first, he believes, is key to Sigma’s success, ensuring the company gets the best out of its staff by investing in them.
“Sigma really matched my expectation by putting people first,” Ghumayd says, “and this really kept me motivated as I can live the values of the business.”
